Is it easy to give GATE exam from Chemical Engineering (CH)?

Who said that Chemical Engineering is an easy option for the GATE exam? Whether it is Chemical or Mechanical or something else, it is after all a GATE exam. So, how can you say it as an Easy option.
In fact, I would like to draw your attention towards the fact that the highest cutoff of qualifying the exam is for the Chemical Engineering. This year in 2018, the cutoff for Mechanical branch for general candidates was 34.7, for Civil it was 26.9 and for CSE it was 25. And the cutoff for Chemical was 37.8. This data is enough to tell you the difficulty level of Chemical Engineering.
One thing which goes on your way is that the competition is low in Chemical Engineering as compared to the other branches. On an average about 25k-30k students appear on GATE exam in Chemical Engineering. On the other hand about 2 lac+ appear on Mechanical and Civil and about 1.5 lac+ appear on CSE. This is due to the limited seats of Chemical Engineering all over India.
